I have a beautiful table cover made in Nepal from yak wool. It is in stripes of several very bright colours, including pure white. I don't know what sort of dyes will have been used; it is only a few years old, never been washed before.
Any advice beyond my basic intention to wash gently by hand in lukewarm water would be welcomed.
Perhaps try sticking in one of those colour catcher sheets that I have seen advertised? Also, avoid totally cold or totally hot water... go with luke warm, to minimise colour run.
Good luck.
Ary.

Hi, I would use a very mild detergent such as Woolite and plenty of lukewarm water. If it was meant to be a tablecloth, I imagine it's designed to be washed? Might be worth posting this question on the Kim and Aggie forum.
