2 Bedrooms in a Garden Shed. Eek

On another note, I thought it was 3 unrelated people in the same property that required an HMO

Greed. Greed. Greed. The list of stereotypical boxes that were ticked was too long (and too sensitive) to type here.

I liked the bit at the end of the prog when the Beeny told her she'd make loadsamoney renting out the house as a unit - I thought, so she won't be doing that then. Big Grin I was right!!!

How do people get away with renting out property that is still a building site? The tenants who moved in at this stage must have been desperate or even stupid...How about both.I saw no evidence of planning for H.M.O. status.Do you have this legislation in the south? The place looked like a rabbit warren, and the landlord is just plain greedy. It's like a gang hut already. Not watching anymore, just tooooooooo false.

It looked awful from the back and that weird bedroom in the 'extension'. She really gave landlords a bad name. And you knew that she would never do any maintenance on it such as replacing carpets. When oneof the tenants was complaining about the state of the shower and she was there nodding and msiling and saying 'I know, I know' I thought this is just greed.

I was astonished that she didn't build over the garden to cram more bedrooms in. The original sitting-room for them all was a disgrace.

I'm amazed the next door neighbour didn't complain. Didn't the back extension behind the garage touch the house next door? I bet she didn't bother with a party wall agreement....

Did I mishear or did Beeny say at the end that the Hendon property only actually achieved a rental of £2,080 a month?!

If that's the case then I make that a 4.6% yield on the £537,000 investment.

Not pretty Roll Eyes

The Aussie guy had a much better idea of being a landlord, although, I'm not sure I could live that close to the A4, nice house or not...

Yes he really seemed to know what he was doing (the Aussie guy) and I thought did a good job. I wouldn't personally want to live on the A40 either - I used to drive down there every day for years, not nice.

The woman though - absolutely clueless. And the house looked hideous from the back, if I was a neighbour I would have been very put out.

Is it my imagination or do property TV shows get away with murder when it come to Planning Applications and Building Regulations? All the inspectors arrive on time and offer loads of helpful advice.

It's the sort of house that Housing Associations will rent for newly arrived visitors to our country. That's my bet on what it will be.

The planning department where I live are really....how can I put it? Hard to get anything past. I wouldn't dare start work until I had permission. These people seem to cock a snook at the laws and then get away with it.
The house was a dog's breakfast.

Imagine - "come round to my new pad"
"Oooh - what is it? A flat, bedsit?"
"No - a shed"
Traipse through the garden in the rain/snow every time you want a cuppa? sheesh!
