Anyone used one of these Dulux Paint Pods?

If it was some 'JML' / Shopping channel thing I'd dismiss it as a gimmick - but shortly I'll have a whole house to paint and as it's from Dulux I'm thinking it may be an idea...

The video makes it look fabuluous but I am not convinced. Sounds too good to be true - would be interested to hear if anyone has actually used it.

The immediate negatives are the price, plus presumably you are restricted to the range of paint pod colours - if you fancy something in another brand, it must be useless?

Yes - I think it's as much an attempt to lock you into Dulux paint as anything...

We'll be painting an empty house before the carpet goes down anyway so probably the traditional way is just as good.

Hi saw the advert for this and was suddenly taken back 11 or 12 years when Black and Decker bought out an almost identical system. i knew someone who had one - it got used about twice, because with the amount of batteries it consumed and the amount of cleaning up it needed, they decided it wasn't worth the bother.
it could be worn on your back. I wonder how the 'pod' compares?

Blimey - my links have disappeared!

How am I supposed to point to products on the web (which are clearly related to a property forum) if they're removed??? Mad

Roger, channel 4 doesnt allow links on here!

Saw the ad on tv for the first time last night, looked fab! Would love to try it next time we decorate, but anybody know how much they cost?

I saw the ad this afternoon. Still think it looks too good to be true, I don't believe it would work that well. The machine is £70, and I suspect the paint for it may cost more than usual(?)
