The Wine Cellar is the best place to post piccies at Forum Towers Hatster - but non members can't see the photos in the other areas so privacy will still be protected. Most housey stuff goes in the Wine Cellar though - lots of good stuff going on there at the moment and some lovely pics of Laura's ongoing restoration of the cottage  Just make sure your pics are no more than 251kb each. And links to other sites (i.e. the house details) are allowed, hurrah!!! |

Hi people - I popped this news on over at forum Towers the other day, but to keep you all informed!
So - we left our offer in for about a week, and then the agent said that yes, the vendor would sell for an extra £5k (we'd offered £20k less than the asking price which we thought was fair). Mr Hatster said that no, we would do what we said or nothing. Agent backed down. We then had a debate about a lock-in and deposit, to which Mr Hatster argued back again. So, the upshot is, that we're looking to exchange by the end of next week provided the electrical bloke doesn't pick up on any dodginess, at which point we might want to negotiate some more...
We were interested to see that although this house had been substantially reduced since last summer, in our region detached houses were continuing to rise in price over the last quarter.
