So sad that Kevin got involved in such a scrappy series. As for the oiks and oafs and their catcalls etc, time all programmes banned them. I hope he never gets involved in this sort of thing again. The individual programmes have made for fine and interesting viewing over the years; a well-tried formula, far from tired and worn out.
I agree this was not good, it seemed to value amusement over information. I was looking forward to it, but was so disappointed that I only watched the first two episodes.
I saw an interview with Kevin (prior to the shows being broadcast) where he described 'GD Live' as being "...very silly, very televisual...". Well, half right, I suppose. And hadn't it occurred to Kevin that there are quite enough "silly" programmes on TV these days without adding GD to the list. This was an utter mess of a programme, where even my Kevin-obsessed girlfriend didn't bother watching after Day 1, and what on earth did they think the point was of it being live in the first place?
I'm not surprised the audience were rowdy - probably cat calling to stop them eating their own arms out of the tedium.
A completely and utterly ridiculous concept. Whatever Nathan Barley type dreamt it up should be put back on Big Brother before they come up with another concept as dire.
No wonder everyone on it looked continually embarrassed.

I like Grand Designs, but couldn't see any point to this programme. The whole point is to see long term plans and how they pan out, and how can you do that Live?
Ary.
