We've had our dishwasher for nearly 2 years now, and since christmas has given us nothing but grief!
Started off with error code AL10, was advised on another forum to flush through the dishwasher, which we thought had worked, now we are getting error code AL08!
Anyone else got one of these dishwashers? Any advise?
Went on a review site and its got really bad reviews! Shame we didnt look there before we bought it!
We have an Ultima Dishwasher and it has been fine for us over the past 3 years. We have had error codes but that has been our doing - either a trapped rotor arm due to bad loading or the most recent when a bone got stuck in the outlet. Goodness knows how it got in there as we are careful but obviously not this time.
The machine was working fine but I removed and cleaned the filters which didn't trap the bone so as I removed them the bone fell into the gubbings of the machine and jammed it. You haven't just cleaned your filters by any chance?
My advice - never buy Hotpoint. I had a Hotpoint w/m and it broke down within 3 months, leaving a load of washing trapped inside floating in water. And it wasn't even very good when it was working. I subsequently bought a low price bottom range Candy w/m which did a great job without ceasing for 8 years.

I think i may be doomed! I've got Hotpoint Dishwasher, Tumble Dryer and Washing Machine!
Tumble Dryer about 5 years old, have had thermostat problems with that, but curable for about £16, Washing Machine, nearly 2 years old, fingers crossed no problems yet, but Dishwasher, nearly 2 years old too, one minute it works no problem next minute error codes !
We had a Hotpoint Aquarius d/w at our last house, bought as a replacement for the nearly 20 year old Zanussi we had loved. We hated it. Not v sorry when could only fit a slimline in at the new house and it had to go...
We had a Zanussi bought in November 1988 when I was expecting my first.After three kids and two house moves it was laid to rest at the local skip last year. I felt quite sad!
I have only ever had one kitchen with Zanussi stuff and never again - both the oven and dishwasher were awful and spent more time broken than working (well not that bad but you get my sentiment!). Strange how we have different experiences of equipment. I've now got Hotpoint and overall I am pleased with it.
