Is it just me or should a lot of these postings actually be on the DIY Expert forum rather than here? Does it matter? (except that it makes the right topic harder to find)

It wasn't that long ago that the other Homes forums were introduced... maybe 6 months or so... previously, this forum was the place to post ALL questions.

Now, you get the stubborn buggers (like me) who only use this forum... I personally don't have time to surf an extra 4 forums in a day!!!

Most people here can answer the questions though, so you don't tend to lose out on feedback.

Neither do I but I'm starting to think we need a separate one for a forum AA, I'm getting seriously addicted! As a new member I wasn't aware of the original setup so the mixup makes sense, but I wish I could always find the same things in the same place! PLus I never looked at this one at first so I might have repeated some topics - quelle faux pas Red Face

The problem is, it's a bit of a vicious circle. Not so many people read the DIY forum, hence less responses when people ask for help, so many post in here instead. Also that DIY expert who supposedly answers a question each week, I haven't seen him do it since last summer. The pinned topics have been there forever. It's completely untended and that puts a lot of people (well, me) off Smile

I wondered why they were always there at the top, now I know

You're right, maybe I will have to defect over the wall and just go back for the odd picnic
