I saw this "house" yesterday whilst walking through Aldeburgh, it is plumb in the middle of a public car park. I thought it was a posh beach hut, but apparantly it is a house! It has no Bathroom or shower, and it is reccomended that you bathe in the sea!
And then I saw the price tag, and was amazed that someone would pay so much for so little. It was on the market for £225k last year, and now it has reduced in price someone has bought it!
Ironically, it doesn't seem to have it's own parking space!
How extraordinary! My favourite turn of phrase in what was an obviously un-proof read set of details was "a nod towards modern living was made some time ago when a water closet was introduced in the under stairs cloakroom". Since when has anyone called a loo a water closet? And how do you 'introduce' a water closet to a downstairs cloakroom? Via a paid intermediary? Despite that one imagines that when the WC is in use everyone in the car park and on the beach knows about it. A strong curry the night before and the whole town would probably be aware
Hey stateofplay, I think I have seen a feature on this house on the local news programme. Having looked at the floorplans, I wonder where the shower or bath was...until I read this:
quote:
The lack of a bath or shower in the cottage has ever been a matter of concern for the present owner and visitors who simply made up for this small lack of convenience by a daily dip in the sea
