Hi we just got some vinyl flooring(Armstrong Rhino wood effect). I am going to fit it which I've done in the past. Thing is it is giving off a very strong odour. I've never noticed it so bad on the other various types of vinyl I've fitted. The solvent type smell is actually making my throat and mouth sore, I think I must have some allergic reaction to it. Has anyone else had this problem specifically with Rhino floor. I'm hoping it will go off once the rolls been laid flat for a while. Also what of any long term health effects! as we have a five year old. others experience is appreciated

Problem is worse and now it's given me a really bad headache along with the horrid tast in my mouth. Never had a problem with smelly paint or glues inthe past. I spoke again to Armstong and they said that maybe there's some chemical in it which I'm alergic to.

Get rid of it, you do not want health issues and keep it away from the children. Thing is if you are exposed for long periods to chemicals that you are sensitive to it can make you worse for other things. Google multiple chemical sensitivity and indoor air quality. I would not wish it on anyone. Get rid, a few hundred pounds is peanuts compared to keeping your long term health.
