does anyone know here I can get white interior doors, some glazed, some solid that I don't have to paint? Most doors I see require a painted finish and I can'e be bothered with all that. PVC or wood would be fine, whatever that has a wipe clean white finish
Hi, my parents have these type of doors and theyve lasted really well. If you look for Bostonian 6 panel Pre-finished Internal doors on homebase's site, maybe not the cheapest but for an idea for you, they often come up on ebay and seem to be quite standard in DIY stores.
tried direct doors no luck and pre finished doors still need painting. find it really odd that i can't find doors that you can just hang if you have a standard size opening.
Because there is no such thing as a standard sized opening. We have a house with 'standard' sized door openings, but you can't just buy a door, add some hinges and a handle and fit it into the hole.
Over the years door frames twist, there is slight movement in the property and doors need altering. Our new ones had timber planed off all edges to make them fit properly. If they had been completely finished they would have needed repainting anyway - planing would have removed finished edges and carrying the doors outside for them to be worked on resulted in the inevitable bangs and knocks which would chip paintwork.
