Hello all

We're in the middle of rennovating our recently purchased terrace and replacing the current very very inefficient backboiler. We're planning on putting a new condenser combi in the kitchen (I don't want this to go in a bedroom).

Can anyone advise me of a boiler that will either fit into a kitchen cupboard, or if it has to be on display looks good enough to not spoil the kitchen? (we're planning a white Ikea kitchen)

thanks
H

In our last flat I fitted a Worcester bosch 24i Junior and it fitted perfectly into an Ikea wall unit - I actually chose the boiler to fit the unit. Just make sure that you measure out where the boiler is fitted as the run of wall units will depend on the height of this, we were limited by the height of the flue, so had to being our unit's down a little bit which wasn't perfect.

Our new house has an existing boiler which I've just discovered can be enclosed and plan to do the same when we refit the kitchen.

boiler link

this site gives good info plus dimensions.

Size wise you are likely to get more that fit in to full length cupboard units than the over counter units.

Safety wise, my Baxi came with an adhesive label stating that it can be boxed in and that the label should be left on to warn future heating engineers (this info is on the website if you care to peruse). Also, it actually looks ok. It will fit in a full length unit but wouldn't fit in an over the counter cupboard.

Possibilities are endless, go to your local heating merchant and pick up some brochures.

Or, unless you are doing the work yourself, get some advice from an installer. Most favour a particular make, or makes
