"Startling tales including the EA who used his client's luxury penthouse flat to entertain girls, claiming it was his own, and another who helped stage an exorcism in order to sell a property."
I seem to think it's been on before (or something very much like it). I'm sure I recognise that 22-yr-old chap who used his client's penthouse to impress the girls he met at a nightclub.
Can't really believe the story about the couple who were in bed when the viewers came round - a bit fanciful, that one if you ask me.
And as for the exorcism, well stranger things have happened. But I'm surprised the client went on to buy that house after it made her shudder so much. Must have been dirt cheap if it had been on the market for a year...
One thing I will take away with me though: However nice the EA seems, he is not your friend. Must remember that...
I didn't see it but I am surprised at bclark's comment - in that I don't understand why EAs want to brag openly about duping people, doesn't do much for their reputation.
But that comment sounds like a bit of wishful thinking on their part, if they are stupid enough to brag about it on national television, they probably aren't clever enough to actually achieve it.
I thought the same Velvet. Quite a few of them were tagged as ex Estate Agents but quite a few were current Estate Agents. I was sat there watching it just thinking 'Why are you saying this on TV?' If they wree y estate agent I would have pulled out of the deal straight away on the back of half of what they are saying.
I didn't believe most of the stories anyway, it almost seemed like the poducers had got them all drunk and filmed them making more and more outrageous comments. If I had been the Manager of any of those 'Estate Agents' they wouldn't have been working for me by the next day.
