I posted a message a few dyas back regarding a flat I'm interested in buying in Landsdown Road, East Croydon. You posted a message saying that you still own a 2-bed place in nearby Lebanon Road.
Apologies, but wanted to get your heads up about the room sizes (I have already posted a general message about this).
Room sizes for the flat I'm looking at are as follows (in feet): Lounge (13'2x8'11), Bedroom (11'5x8'4), Kitchen (9'4x6'1. To re-cap, price is valued at £134,500, 180 year lease, shared 50ft garden and allocated parking space. You mentioned that it was fair price - is that still the case based on the above factors?
I'm finding that finding one-bed flats close to E.Croydon station are extemely diffiuclt - when they do come on to the market they go very quickly.
Not sure whether you read another of my postings, but I have a house I'm planning to sell. As the owner of the flat is not prepared to wait until I've sold, I am considering getting this flat on a BLT, renting it out whilst I sell the house and once it has sold, plough the money into the flat.
As you probably have a better idea on the area, do you think this is a good idea?
Apologise for bothering you with this, but it always helps to get second opinions.
My place is around Morland road (off Lower Addiscombe road). I know Landsdowne road quite well and its a very good location since its quite close to east croydon station and whitgift shopping center.
The lease seems long enough and the fact that you have an allocated parking space is a bonus. (There is hardly any free parking around that area). From the descriptions provided i think its a worthwhile investment. One bed flats around my end which is not as close to EC station start from about 129K.
