the devon house they bought had 5 bedrooms. now, am i not right in thinking it wouldve been a lot easier to get to a carbon neutral state by just buying one, small house rather than having 2 people rattling round a 5 bed house and 1 bed flat?

Agreed - it didn't seem to make much sense. Also how are guests staying there going to get there? I presume by car - all the way from London or Brighton where trendy eco-fanatics hail from. Don't even get me started on the bloke! I can't trust a man with no shoulders.

Also I found it somewhat ironic that he wouldn't consider having a flat in a student area of Brighton given that he seemed to be dressed like one.

yes, i thought he was pretty dismissive of his partner. if he's like that on the telly, what's he like away from the cameras?

she, on the other hand, seemed really nice, i can't believe what a fantastic figure she had, being a granny and all.

She didn't half remind me of the actress that used to play Kevin the teenagers mum on the Harry Enfield show. Or maybe that's just me!

Yep, the bloke was really annoying, he came came over as very smug and self-satisfied. Plus he really needs to stop dressing like that.
