Just wondering how difficult/easy it is to move the position of the toilet in our bathroom? It would move from current position across the wall about 1.3 to 1.4 meters to the other end. This would then mean I could move the bath away from the window and the sink nearer. This would make a much more user friendly bathroom for me!!
I'm not a plumber, so am prepared to be corrected here!
Look to see where the toilet's waste disposal pipe is going. If you're only moving the toilet along a wall, you should, provided it's an external wall, just be able to put a hole in the new location with the waste pipe going out, then along the external wall to link up (outside) with the original pipe. This is assuming it's an upstairs toilet.
The soil pipe will be on the same wall, just further down. Is it quite easy to link up to the original. We are also have a loft conversion, there will be an ensuite upstairs. I guess the soil pipe work could be all done then?
Cast iron or plastic? Depends how it has to be joined I guess. I doubt it will be a problem either way though, ours is cast iron and the plumber just added a plastic bit for our loft ext loo into the top of the old one.
