I recently saw an episode of Grand Designs in which a home owner made a concrete worktop. Has anyone done this themselves and if so, how do you go about it and what materials do you need - from what I have read, you need special concrete. Is this correct?
Hi Kanie I saw that too, but I didnt like it to be honest. I cant remember if it was special concrete, but it was some special finish over the concrete I think as well. Maybe if you spoke to B&Q they could help - or maybe a concrete firm could tell you what kind of concrete youd need.
It was a repeat. I know the house and the concrete worktops were replaced not so long after the programme had been made. Some years ago, the owners tried to sell it but after having it on the market for about 2 years they decided to stay put.

Dyou know what --it would be VERY helpful if all these various property programs showed a date at the beginning, especially the ones where they are comparing the prices of properties .Seems an obvious thing to do , but they usually dont.
