hi, can anyone advise on panel heaters to heat a one bed room flat in terms of how much heat they generate and how much the cost to run. i recently ripped out the old storage heater in the flat, that was wired up to the off peak meter. obviously the panel heaters run off the normal meter so it will cost a bit more. im out at work all day and it seems silly to have heating on when im not even there. would panel heaters with timers on them be sufficient to replace the old chunky storage heater? its a small flat with only 2 panel heaters. cheers
Suppose it depends on the size/output of each of the two kinds of heaters you mentioned and the size of your roooms, and how warm you like it. . If the two panel heaters werent enough, I suppose its not like having underestimated central heating --you could just buy and plug in another one. Welcome to the forum, sorry not to be more helpful.
thanks for the reply. i think the panel heaters will be enough. we're top floor as well and i think we must gather a lot of heat from below us because the flat is quite warm most of the time without any heating on. i was just thinking about when winter comes around thats all, lol. Cheers again
