They were a nice enough couple, felt sorry for them that things didn't work out.
It was quite an eye-opening night on Channel 4 last night what with this and then the massive budget overspend in Grand Designs. Usually I'm pretty envious of people who appear on these programs - they've usually got shedloads of cash - but definitely saw some downsides this time!

Well, I have to declare 'insider' knowledge on the lifestyles and working arrangements of these two people featured in last nights program. My Daughter is a Trolley Dolly! Eek
Well, She is until next Month when She leaves the Big Airline to become a Housewife (oops! sorry Quaint Irene I mean Schoolgate Mum from a Hardworking Family Big Grin)

It is true that Cabin Crew do commute what we would consider to be vast distances to Heathrow. My Daughter was commuting regularly from Denver USA to Heathrow to get to work for 2 years !
I was not too sure what these two were trying to achieve last night and it does question the purpose and aims of the program does it not?
I see they are asking for new people for the next series (Oh! No! Overcooked series?) so I might put myself up---------
I am looking for a Beachside property in Barbados up to about £100,000 not exactly sure what I want, in fact, I don't have a clue, but don't let that stop you from giving P&K and me and Mrs Melboy a nice Freeby Holiday in the Sun. Kirsty will be pleased because it will mean She won't have to wear that huge black coat with the Buttons as big as dinner plates in the hot sunshine.
Oh! Yes! and also an unaffordable "Crash-Pad" close to Heathrow as well please.
If it all becomes too difficult and expensive for me then at least I have had a free holiday in the Sun on C4.
On second thoughts I won't bother, I couldn't take all the Slappty- Slapping from the Forum! Big Grin

Big Grin Nice one Melboy!

They did deserve a slap though. Ideas way above their means.
Another prog that MrP walked out on after the first 5 minutes.
I never thought I would get bored by the like of PL and LLL....Frown

Yes, I thought some people on the Forum might have been thinking that which is why I went to Press very quickly! Big Grin
Mrs M and me both commented on the fact that we would have known that they were both Cabin Crew without being told! Been around them too long I guess!

Just felt that there's something not quite right about this couple. Bad enough that they don't spend much time with each other as it is, they also have 2 very young kids, very low budget ( in this day & age of property buying anyway), I mean are they for real???

I think I might pick up Melboy's idea for next series too. I could do with a holiday in the Far East. Wink

For the first time ever, I switched channels after about 20 mins, because the prog just became boring. The couple definitely had ideas above their bank balance, wanting a large spacious house in apple pie order, for less than £100K. Cloud cuckoo land. She was irritating as well. Something about her just got on my nerves.

Although it applies more to last week's couple than this week's me and my partner were wondering why all these people think a two huse lifestyle will give them more family time together - all it will do is mean more travelling time. Me and my partner lived apart for years because of his job and hacking up and down motorways every Friday and Sunday eats into your weekend! If you really want more family time then you either sacrifice the high payed job in the city or the country house - if you want both the last thing you'll have is more time! Having it all is a media myth!

For anyone considering taking on a 'project' the true cost involved was clearly displayed in this prog. and GD later.

£500 m2 to build (or renovate) is how much it costs unless you can manage the job yourself. This does NOT include professional fees and local taxes. (It is still 50% cheaper than UK.)

Look at these properties as building plots with a few bits of stone/hardcore thrown in. If the 'locals' are not interested, ask why.

I turned this off after 5 minutes when I realised it wasn't about the UK!

Ditto, I agree Wanda. I missed the beginning so didn't know they were cabin crew. But I should have guessed from her make up style.

I developed an aversion to her white trs that distracted me from proceedings so I too gave up on the prog.

Turned off after a record breaking five minutes - found them and their search really dull (yawn icon)
