Hear! Hear! Joolz! I have been associated with the Building and Property business all my life and even now I am not that single minded to ignore advice from people who I think can either support your ideas or offer additional thinking when renovating property.
These people were just plain stupid not to accept professional advice but Hey! it's only a Telly program so we musn't get over excited about it.

Well if you go on telly on a show like this, you are inviting debate and public opinion. If you don't want that, then go off and do your 'developing' on your own without any cameras around. Simple as that really.

Hmmm watched this on Saturday afternoon.... At first I thought that the brother and sister were actually a married couple and I couldn't see how a fairly good-looking guy had ended up with such a weirdy-looking frump machine!

Anyway, I thought they were really greedy to put the house on the market at 87K when clearly that was way too high and the estate agent just wanted their business.

And, oh don't you just want to find out what a mess they've made of that barn???!!

Perhaps the bath had a big plug hole!!!! Nuff said.

The Adams family quite clearly had no taste - that was obvious from opening titles - check out Mother's pink crimpolene trousers in opening scenes - Yuk!

Mel, Janet posted something similar on last night's PL thread, so maybe she is in a forthcoming episode and is getting her retaliation in first

I try not to comment on the participants' looks as it's not a beauty contest. But their foolish actions (or inactions) WRT the property are fair game - by participating on PL they have volunteered to be judged by the viewers on that basis.

One of the reasons velvet I don't appear on Property Ladder is because people might mistake me for Quasi Modo and very hurtful comments made be made about me and when I get the Hump I get really angry!

You do have a point there, I refrain from making personal comments but all the comments made were not made in a nasty manner, that's not how I read them anyway.
