Glad you had a good trip to Brugge SAH Smile
We spent 10 days over the Christmas period in Prague and Budapest. There was snow when we arrived in Prague and for the first few days. It was very cold all the time but we enjoyed it there Snowman We went up in the hills around Budapest on Xmas afternoon, where there was still lots of snow although it had disappeared from the city below. Then it was snowing hard again in Budapest on the day we had to fly back to the UK.

SAH & Janni, sounds like you both had a great time, they're 3 places on my "To See" list, especially Prague. Did you go to the hot chocolate cafe you like SAH?

SAH, yes we enjoyed Prague and Budapest very much. Budapest is more spread out than Prague but the public transport in both cities is very good. We walked around the cities visiting several museums and galleries, and also enjoyed lots of inexpensive meals out, though the food tended to be a bit on the greasy/fatty side. Both hotels were good and very clean. On our last night in Budapest we went to a concert in a church which was very enjoyable.
Glad you got to enjoy your hot chocs! Big Grin

Thanks SAH, can't wait to go, it sounds lovely, your New Years Eve sounds brilliant Smile We're booked in a 4 star hotel too, can't remember the name of it. but 4 star is too posh for us! If it's anything like your hotel it will be OK though! Razz Wink

Mr FB is always trying to persuade me to go to Amsterdam, but no way! Only if he promised we wouldn't go to the r-l district & there's no chance of that. I wouldn't know where to look - he would though! Big Grin I'd love to see Anne Frank's house though, so maybe one day........

Sorry to hear that FB Frown
Surely they should pay you your money back immediately if they have cancelled the trip?
I know you can book trips very quickly online as we have done that several times. Hope you get something sorted out.

Thanks Janni. They have booked us ona trip to Paris instead but it's the week before, and we can't change our holidays at work so I have to phone them this morning - the letter said you have to phone within 7 days, which is a bit cheeky as they cancelled it! And when I phoned on Saturday, the department I had to speak to weren't there, they don't work weekends! Roll Eyes

FB that does not seem at all fair that they changed the dates of the trip (as well as the place!) Eek Confused
I know Mr.J wouldnt be in a position to change his holiday dates at work once they were booked, as he has so many work commitments.
Don't forget to let us know how it all turns out.
