Is it a reflection or does the woman on tonight's show have a ginger moustache ? How can people not clean for 10 years ? I have a red carpet, gonna replace it next year, that shows up EVERY bit of dirt - gonna get a nice lighter one.

I am a bit lazy but not that bad.

i never noticed her moustache......I love the show but if my house was like some on the show I definately would not want the whole country to see....but on the other hand it would be great to have the place cleaned for me.....tea to clean mirrors.....see we learn every week..i shall go and take the tea bags off the line and reuse them for my windows and mirrors!!!! lol lol..a wee joke

nope didn't see her tash,but did see the filrthy probably stinking house,how could they not have cleaned the work top? or anything,i so wanted to see the bathroom and the kids room,but i did notice new things were bought for the house,after it was cleaned

I don't understand how people can live like that, in all that mess.

I was watching it sort of, was typing. The only thing I noticed that she was obviously overweight & she looked like she had an orange line above her mouth - may have just been a shadow.

Saw that one a couple of weeks ago with the blind guy, how did he hoover if he couldn't see what he was hoovering ?

You can hear the dirt/grit rattling up the vacuum tube - no more rattling, no more dirt/grit (I presume)

I felt sorry for her little boy. Being brought up on a diet of junk and being overweight as a result of bad parenting. One thing I didn't understand though is how come their daughter was the only slim one in the family. After their house was all clean I was sitting there waiting for Gillian Mckeith to march in and get started on them!

I spent yesterday watching "Diet Doctors" - they are not as direct as gillian but they have some disgusting/interesting experiments. Do you know you can set fire to a wotsit & the fat in it makes it burn like a candle ? And if you eat so many fried foods then your liver turns to pate !!!

I used to have a red carpet and yes every bit of fluff used to show up! Now i've got cream carpets but they do get grubbier, but the fluff doesn't show!!

We want new carpets next year, but we're going for dark so we can see the dogs hair when he moults! There's always a ball of his fur that gets missed - or is it the way I hoover?!

i have wooden floors and tiled floors and have only carpet on the srairs/landing and a rug in the living room....hate carpet...you want to see the cats hair on the rug and i hoover every day......wooden floors so easy to keep clean and more hygenic....but is a personal choice....

Carpet is warm underfoot, i was going to have it in the bathroom but it's cold. Might do my kitchen as well, again you can walk around barefoot on carpet in winter. Losing interest in painting, it's like a chore now. I hate the masking it off bit, the painting bit is fine. I'm not brilliant but it'll do.

Carpet in your kitchen?! Don't do it, you'll be ripping it out after a few months

I had carepet in the kitchen for 2.5 years, looks better & is easier to clean. The floor is cold, and it looks riffy. Gonna have one all the way trough now - easier. Not for ages though, gonna get everything else first. Gotta sort out the electrical stuff first & then the practicals.

You must have steady hands then Wolves, I spill that much stuff on our tiles I'm forever cleaning them, wouldn't be so easy cleaning a lasagne off a carpet (our dog would help though)

I'm pretty ok, it looks better, is easier to clean (quick hoover & no mop) and is warmer. I don't cook that much, don't like it - just tend to do one pot/tray cooking & that is it. Not much mess.
