A house in my street put their Xmas decorations up yesterday, I'm just wondering if everyone on here thinks it's too early? We normally put ours up the first Sunday in December, but will be later this year as we'll be in Biddy's neck of the woods that day.
Far too early. I usually put the tree up the weekend before Christmas and we don't have a great deal more than that. This year not even that as contents of kitchen and dining room will still be in the sitting room. Kitchen fitters supposed to finish on 23rd December so can see me spending the holiday putting everything away in its new home.
thats far too early,i put mine up the second week in dec and once the prezzies have gone from under it ,i want to take it down ,but kids wont let me,so it comes down jan 1
Much to early, would be sick looking at it. Anyway the balls get dusty, Tree goes up two weeks before Christmas, comes down New years day. And you still need to dust the balls with pledge fluffy duster. Hate dusty balls.
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone. If you enjoy something once,. Do it again. .
oh yes, far too early. much as i lvoe christmas decorations and tree, they do get dusty and it would take the occasion out of it if they were up weeks before hand. we normally do it aroudn 16/17 december
we put up our two fibre optic trees between the 10th (my birthday) and 15th(sons birthday)and they come down new years day approx.....much too early......I love Christmas but 3 weeks of decorations is enough.....
Well, I thought putting the & decorations up on Saturday was far too early, but yesterday I told a friend & she informed me that a house in her nephew's street put theirs up 2 weeks ago (Nov 1st!!!)
i used to know a lady who sent out all ehr christmas cards on nov 1st!!
i like fibre optic trees, we have one on the dining table. mr biddy likes real trees but i think it's a shame to bring a living tree into the house and besides look at the mess they make! i would like a new tree this year, either white or silver. i would love one like that decorated with blue and red lights.
Have not thought about any of it yet, will wait till the beginning of December, gives my kid's to many ideas if I put the tree up to early, and will send cards the first week of December as well
i did send one present and card off but that was to my penpal in Australia! i wil probalby get hers mid-november, i normally do but i still keep it until christmas day!!
I've finished and wrapped. I've told the kids if there is anything else they see now it will have to wait until Birthdays. It just gets stupid. Every time the adverts came on that was another £30 gone. I have moved on from Christmas, and just booked next years holiday!
Waaaayyyy too early to put up a Christmas tree - think of the dust and dirt. Yuck! I put mine up a week before Christmas and it comes down the day of NEw Year's Day. I get sick of it and mine is not up for long but long enough. I also make sure the house gets a good scrubbing before the Tree goes up.
Guess what...we are getting an international christmas market in a town 28miles away from my home...yes yes cant wait 16th 17th and 18th dec...i am like a big kid!!! nearly booked to go to Edinburgh as they are having one...saves a boat journey now and more £££££~s to spend
