Confused

Can't find anything in next week's RT after a quick look - is it local to your part of the world I wonder, Chaddy? Do wish K & A would return.

Me neither! Personally I find the five terrestrial channels quite enough to cope with. Ninja

Anyone see an article in today's Daily Mail about a woman who gets up at 5.30 every morning and spends almost the entire day cleaning her 3-bedroom house from top to bottom?! Even her son has to have in shoes cleaned before he's allowed in after school! Roll Eyes Apparently she's appearing in Cleanaholics on 28 April.

Wanted to edit above but have been told I don't have permission! I'd like to know why, I've always been able to before.

Just wanted to add that it's being shown on the Discovery Home and Health channel so I shan't be able to watch it. Frown

I've noticed that posts can be edited, but only for about a period of 20 seconds or so after you have posted! Roll Eyes Then it says you don't have permission.
I know it used to allow editing for a longer period after posting...a few minutes I think!

That's what they reckon. There are three more in today's Mail. I'm all in favour of a clean house and everything neat and tidy, but there are limits!

I saw a programme recently where a woman felt that she had to clean almost the whole of her house from top to bottom every single day. She had some sort of treatment for her obsession, and I think she was then a lot better, but not completely cured.

It must be awful for them, and it can't be healthy either, too few germs are as bad as too many, don't we need some in order to fight off diseases , allergies etc? Confused

Yes, I'm sure I've heard that children growing up in a home with a little bit of dust and a few germs are likely to be a lot healthier than those growing up in an absolutely spotless house, especially in respect of allergies.

No time to edit again Roll Eyes, but I also meant to say that included a home with pets as well.

According to today's Mail dusty homes can prevent asthma in children. So it seems it doesn't pay to have homes that are too sterile.

Yes that's what I've heard about childhood asthma Jenny. We were worried that my son may develop asthma as Mr.J has it, but he's nearly 25 now and hasn't suffered from it. We have always had cats until a couple of years ago, although Mr.J is actually allergic to cats...but he seemed to become immune and desensitised to them in the end as they were always around since we got married!

I also meant to say that his asthma has improved a lot over the years to the extent that he hardly suffers from it now.
I do wish we could edit posts on here! Big Grin
