You will not believe this tip folks.
My husband loves red wine and we've had various problems with spilt bottles etc.
Well we've just brought a lovely new cream carpet(i know what you're thinking disaster..lol) Anyway first night we're at home and what does he go and do, you guessed it, red wine all over the carpet.
We fell out, you know what its like, he storms off to the pub, so im left to clean it up alone. I was mad as hell so i thought id have a bath first to calm down, Anyway by the time id finished and come back down prepared to scrub away for ages to lift the stain, what did if find? Only that the flaming cat had peed on the stain, I was distraught, but lo and behold to my amazement it seemes to have lifted the stain somehow like magic. A few wipes with a wet cloth and it was gone in no time. I've no idea why this worked so well, maybe some of the more scientific amongst us could explain??
Anyway i figured that id try this stuff again on other hard to shift stains, obviously i wasn't going to follow our cat around waiting for him to have a toilet break, but i contacted the local zoo(mostly just to know if they could shed any light on this wonder cleaner)but i found out that you can actually purchase Lion urine direct from the zoo. Apparently pigeon fanciers use the stuff to scare away cats from their pigeon huts.
So to cut a long story short, i purchased a couple litres of the stuff, and i find it works on a whole load of stains, ranging from red wine, chocolate, greases, etc. It can also be used to clean windows, and as a shoe polish.
I thouht id share it, and i love it if someone could shed any light on a scientific reason why it works so well?

Wow, that's amazing! Doesn't the lion pee smell? Don't think I'd fancy using it on fabrics too much, the acid would probably damage it eventually but might be handy occassionally! Where's the nearest zoo?.............

I wouldn't fancy sorting it either! We get enough insects going through, (dead & alive, ) aww, we had an escaped cricket last night, our gaffer was going to stamp on it but we rescued it & took it outside.
Worst thing ever was a dead bird, some idiot was sending it in a normal envelope, it absolutely stank, it was so vile, that was about 8 year ago but everyone who was there still goes green at the thought of it!

You can buy lion poo at garden centres - it's called Silent Roar.

Male (human) wee is good for keeping foxes away, apparently, and so it human hair.

Not sure about sticking wee all over things. Surely the awful smell outweighs the cleaning benefits. Esp when it comes to red wine. I've always just used salt. Works an absolute treat & doesn't stink the house up!
