Watch some repeats of How Clean! Big Grin Be ruthless, if you haven't used it for a year you probably never will, just do one room at a time otherwise you get disheartened - or even just one cupboard/drawer at a time. Good luck - think of all the extra space you'll have. Wink

jd, aka, mandy, you never spoke a truer word, when you de-clutter your house, it certainly does de-clutter your brain as well. you find your more content, and every day house work is so much easier. Wink

Hi
We had to drastically de-clutter when we moved from a 3-bed house to a city apartment, but it was well worth it. We bought an ipod, digitised all our music and sold the cd's on e-bay. made enough to buy a flash, flat-screen tv! That gave me the bug and we have since got rid of all but a handful of books (when do you ever re-read one?), digitised all our photo's and chucked out the albums (which were fallign apart) and sold pretty much everything that wasn't beautiful or useful! You do need to be ruthless and not get too sentimental, but it is very cleansing and we could never be hoarders again! I love my minimalist pad too much!! Good luck. Cool

I like your style Karen1972 sell your things and make money you have just given me an idea of car booty Wink
I had a mini blitz this weekend, decorated my sons bedroom and cleared out many of his toys and clothes.
(How one room causes so much disruption to other rooms amazes me!!)
Does anyone else have a drawer in kitchen full of carrier bags?
My partner says I keep all sorts of junk and I think to myself, well the come in handy for you everytime he opens the drawer

I am not a horder and DONT have a kitchen drawer that everything gets shuved into...but the drawer in the dinning room which could end up like a filling cabinet gets a tidy up every two weeks to make sure all is in order....I love my cupboards to be neat tidy and in order

I know plastic bags are bad for the environment.......but they're just so useful Wink We do have "proper" shopping bags we use when we go shopping though.
