Hi All

I have a tip for you! For those that have small flies (like fuit flies or house plant flies) in their house, and don't like using poison flies to kill them:

Run a half basin of water with dishsoap suds. Make sure there are lots of suds. Then scoop up a handful of suds. Just swipe at the flies, and they will get stuck in the suds, and then you can dispose of them.

This worked great for me; I have a cat and lots of house plants so I can't use fly sprays.

good idea,i use the tip from hciyh on catching other flies,the jam jar and clingfilm,but the flies didn't do it,so i put sugar on the clingfilm so the flies had the sugar then fell in the holes on the clingfilm.

eww i hate those flies! they get in my way!

Use the sticky stuff in the shops you can buy they get stuck to those! they sticky stuff gets hanged up on the ceiling and when a fly come pass it gets stuck! One time we had a fly outbreak in my house and theyr were THOUSANDS it was ridiculouse! then we went to the local shop and bought the sticky stuff(its not sellotape)
its like honey in it to attract them to it

That sounds like a nightmare Why are they so stupid anyway, they come in through a wide open door but can't get back out the same way, stupid things.

I tried the cling film with holes in it, but these flies weren't atrtracted to sugar or vinegar like the ones I'm used to.

It has been about a week since I wen't mad with the "fly hunting" and suds, and I've only seen about 5! Miraculous, as ther were hundreds at this time last week!

I used the tip from the programme too but instead of a clean jar I just used nearly empty jars of pickle, relish and one of apple sauce

Still put in a drop of vinegar and some washing up liquid and it worked a treat.

Now I keep my fruit in the fridge and bananas in the microwave so the little buzzers cant get at it they drive me nuts lol
