Well it's going to be quite neutral. We are so far in the middle of putting lining paper all over, and have also done 1 coat on the woodwork today. On one wall, behind the bed head, we are going to put some patterned wallpaper. It is actually charcoal with an oriental pattern in silver, it has flowers, birds and butterflies on it. It sounds a bit dark I know but it's not! The rest of the walls are going to be painted a very pale grey colour, almost a grey/white.
If you want to see what the wallpaper is like, we bought it from a high street shop which traditionally sells flowery ladies clothes. The first word in the name is a girls name and the second word is a boys name. They also sell homewear. The wallpaper is called oriental garden I think, you can view it on their website! Hope that all made sense!
We have done loads, hubby has finished putting up the lining paper this morning, and I have finished the second coat of gloss on the woodwork. This afternoon he will paint the ceiling and I will make a start on painting some of the walls.
We are both 'in between jobs' at the moment so maybe we should set up a business and then we can come and do your spare room!!
That's a good idea Natnee, tea & biccies provided free of charge too Know which shop you mean, it'll look lovely when it's finished. You seem to be bombing through it too, you must be well organised.
All the decorating was finished on Wednesday. Thursday was spent finishing putting stuff back in bedroom and then cleaning the WHOLE house from top to bottom. It was so satisfying afterwards to have the house back to normal and being lovely and clean and tidy! And our bedroom looks fantastic, we are really pleased with it!
Yes it does. Yesterday we tackled the back garden and sorted it out, repotted some plants in pots. I unfortunately got a bit sunburnt on my back - silly me!
