If you are going to get run over make sure its a Citroen C6 they have a pop up bonnet so when it starts to hit a pedestrian (how does it know?) the bonnet pops up to act as a cushion. Its the only car in the world to get the full 4 stars for pedestrian safety.
Wish I could afford it but would go for C5 estate to tow caravan.
But I am happy with my 16 year old citroen AX and the wife Loves her 11 year old Peugeot 405 estate. and it keeps me buisy keeping them in good condition
I got hit by a hit and run driver two christmas eves ago..(Sandy will know where i mean) i was on the zebra crossing from Austins to the richmond centre when a taxi pulled up and as the passanger open the door to get out he caught me and sent me flying..the car drove off at speed....i was in a heap on the pavement legs in all directions(sobbing)...no one got the car reg number..i was very bruised all down one side but ok.....
no..the passenger was the one who was jumping out of the taxi and it was actually him who hit me with some force when he opened the door...then they just drove away fast...i did not go to A & E as it was christmas eve and I needed to do a million things..my hubby rang the police and they asked was I making a compensation claim,he said no so the police said they could do nothing.there was a cctv right on the crossing and the police said they could only request the footage in a civil disturbance and if I wanted to see the tape i would have to pay the cctv company!!!!we just let it go and put it down to experience..mind you i was sore for days and i did hope the driver and passenger had a rotten christmas
Some people eh chaddy? Well, they didn't decerve a good Xmas, that's for sure, glad you were OK though. You should have said you wanted compo just to get the police involved, but as you say, you've too much to do at Xmas & the main thing is you were OK, it could have been worse.
I wonder what the driver and passenger would say.....this lady was on the zebra crossing and got in the way of my door opening with such a force that she went flying across the zebra crossing and landing on the footpath..your honour...and I saw that people were all around her and helping her so i knew she was alive..and i was in a rush to buy a last minute gift....
makeo, the passenger & driver must have seen what happeneb to chaddy, & they didn't even bother helping her, seeing if she was ok or apologising! Sorry, but if someone can be that selfish then no, they don't deserve a good xmas, they are selfish horrible people
