Nice to hear from you all again. New kitchen is blooming fab ! Although it's cream and needs a lot of work to keep it looking nice. As the worktops are granite, a wipe over with the J-cloth will no longer do. It has it's own special polish ! All in all it took six months to complete - was a nightmare but didn't have to cook as much as usual. Which can only be a good thing.

What's new with everybody else then. Hope you're leaving Jean-Claude in peace !!!

Glad you're enjoying the new kitchen - it sounds as if all the hassle involved in getting it done was worth it in the end!

Just taking a look down the page and it tells me that 10 people have replied to this message but 92 people have viewed it.

Doesn't it make you wonder about all the people that read these messages but never reply to any of them. There must be plenty as there aren't 92 people that regularly use this forum (that I know of!)

I thought the very same thing, we do get lots of views who dont post. Do you think some people are shy, THey should join us sure were a great bunch.

Also, I suppose we each view a thread more than once, as we look at again each time a new post is added.

I'm one of the guilty ones who looks but doesn't always answer and yes in a way it is being shy. If I can't think of anything intersting to say I don't put anything. I find meeting new people difficult face to face and I suppose it's a similar thing on here, but I do enjoy the banter even if I'm not taking part.

I must own that I too had been a reader for a long time until I finally joined. I liked to read HCIYH forum better than any other so one day I came out of my shell and joined. Glad I did too!

I read the HCIYH forum for ages before I joined in and posted on it.

I tried to find a HC site for ages before I found this one! One of the best things I've ever found too

janni,i was bored one night and just browsing on the c4 sites and found it,i didnt even know that there was a forum.

I can't really remember how I found it, I think I stumbled across it when keying in HCIYH after C4. Then I watched and waited!

I can remember exactly how I found it. I scorched my mahogany Queen Anne dresser after putting my hair straighteners on it. I had laid a couple of towels on there and thought that would be enough of a cushion to keep the heat away from the wood - obviously wasn't though.

Looked up a solution and it sent me here !
