I agree Carol - I think the stronger the shower flow is, the more the shower curtain moves inwards. I think it may also happen more if the water is very hot. Sorry about my above post saying 'Deleted'...I pressed 'Post Now' before I was finished so quickly went back and just typed 'Deleted', as I knew I wouldn't be given time to edit it properly!
Sorry it has taken me so long to say anything on this subject again. Some more brilliant suggestions thanks girls and ? guys.
I think the problem is caused by the power of the shower creating a draught. I had wondered about this and now Carol has suggested it I am more than sure that is the cause.
My own solution which has worked has been to use small balls of blue tac. It keeps the curtain attached to the bath and seems to last quite a few showers even though getting wet.
Then I had another idea could it be that by "locking" the curtain at both ends with the bath rack and another bath storage device is adding to the problem. so I had a shower with the curtain hanging freely and it was a lot better.
However I think the next stage is weights in the hem. Brilliant idea.
I have bought a new shower curtain since my last post. My other one was getting a bit manky, so I bought one (£5 from a shop beginning with W and ending in SONS) but this one is HORRIBLE. It is a fabric one and IT CLINGS. Fitboy I am suffering from the clingy shower curtain syndrome now too. I'm off back to @sd@!!
I have often found on holiday the showers are so powerful that this problem occurs. If you wet the side of the bath and push the curtain against it you will find it usually sticks.

Oh boy I'm so glad you lot weren't flies on the wall in our bathroom the other day... my husband and I were in the shower, he washed his hair, I went to get my shampoo, slipped on his residue, tripped over the shower curtain, flew backwards out of the bath, landed on my ar*e on the floor, taking the entire shower curtain and rail with me smashing the loo roll holder, and flailing around like a soggy octopus, killing myself laughing. My darling husband was laughing so hard, it took him 5 minutes to get out of the shower and come to my rescue.
Finally a better shower curtain yesterday, just had enough with the clingy one. I perservered for ages as other than it being clingy, was nothing else wrong with it. But I was getting so angry while having showers with the stupid thing sticking to me - enoughs enough!! So this morning - lovely shower, with a new shower curtain behaving nicely hanging down as a shower curtain should! (mind you it smells strongly of plastic!! - can't win can you?!!!!)
i have had the same problems as fitboy. we have just gotten a new one and so far we have had no problems. the old one was plastic and this one is material
Glad you've all got your shower curtain problems sorted for the moment - apart from the plastic smell We don't have a problem with ours - we haven't got a shower!
