Songs of praise, i know it isn't everyone's cup of tea but i love it. my hubby has just sung along to "How great thou art" i love to hear him singing. Thats how we met, through singing in choirs. We both come from singing familie's. It plays a big part in our lives. my hubby sang at our wedding receiption......he sang !I Believe" must be the only man to sing at his own wedding. I once sang to a packed church...... I sang...Take my Life and let it be. last night at our daughters birthday party. we sang together Whispering Hope. Gill played piano and S-I-l, played guitar. Just some useless information i thought i would share.

I love gospel music Sandy..especially some of the new ones...I also write gospel music..pity i cant sing though ...i have even had some of my work printed in local church magazines.....

Chaddy that sounds marvellous. Now theres a gift in itself, Would you believe i write poetry, have writtev 14 books of it, about everything under the sun. The MS. website used one of my poems as its main stay, and i've had a few published in magazines. Got a bit ckoked at songs of praise tonight. They sang...The day thou gavest lord has ended. My mum's buriel service was held in Ebrington and my sister and i chose the two hymn's and that was my choice. theres always reminders everywhere.

Must go see Antiques Roadshow cant miss that.

i like hymn music, especially carols. i never liked gospel music but anything by libera is nice for me to listen to. i like some of the German christmas carols by the vienna boys choir.

i would want to be burried, have always had a terrible fear of fire. i have made sure my family know that.

me too biddy...i watched a cremation on tv...and no way....

No ones putting me into a fire, no way, was always afraid of fire,especially when little. You should see my bedtime routine. By the time i'm finished its nearly time to get up again.

I'm building my own tomb, like the pharos, not going into ground either.Dont know where i'm building it. I'll just use 3p's shed.

Sandy, I love that hymm too and was singing along with it (not very tunefully I have to admit!!) It just sends shivers down my spine, it is so beautiful!
