I've noticed since I've been back on the 'puter the last couple of days that things are slipping already. It's far more tempting to surf than scrub !

Be honest now - how much time do you all spend online each day ?

I also find it "more tempting to surf than scrub" - that's a good quote! Big Grin
Like lady lil I pop in and out while doing the housework. Some days I spend more time on the computer than others...it depends what else I'm doing. Definitely spend more time on it during the week than I do at weekends, as I go out more at the weekend.

I'd certainly far rather surf than scrub, it helps take my mind off various woes and worries!

CQ forever!

I think it doesn't help cos we don't have broadband YET ! I'm campaigning at the moment but as Mr SB doesn't use the computer it doesn't count as a priority.

It just seems to take forever to first get connection and then for all the things to do as they should when you click on them.

Perhaps I'm just impatient Roll Eyes

You're not impatient SB - when we had dial-up internet access it used to take ages to load things up (and was very frustrating). Now that we've got broadband I get through things really quickly...I still spend too much time on the computer, but nowhere near as long I would if we still had dial-up! Smile
Broadband is so fast, we could never go back to dial-up now - you should definitely persuade Mr SB to make it a priority soon! Big Grin

with broadband i find we can do so much more, you can ahve the phone on at the same time as well and it's so much quicker to download stuff too. my mother is still on dial up!! i told her she could stay online for as long as she wished with broadband but she says she won't change!!

So true, SB - if it something he wants, it gets done double quick. Otherwise it just isn't urgent!!! Mad

).Can't see it happening this side of Christmas as finances won't allow.

My Mum (and Nan!!) were kept pretting busy around March/April/May during their twenties as most of our birthdays are around Christmas. Come to think of it I was kept busy myself Eek Red Face as my daughter will be 5 just a couple of days before Christmas.

I'll be hitting the big 4-0 myself in around 3-4 weeks (sshhh, don't tell anyone Ninja) If I ignore it, perhaps it'll go away.

It's not so bad - I'm over 40 - infact now I'm halfway towards my half century and that seems really awful! In Holland they have a big celebration when someone is 50 - they often stick photocopies of posters showing the person when they were younger onto telegraph poles etc. And they make a life-size model of an old man or woman and put it outside their house. It's called seeing Abraham or Sarah (my bible knowledge isn't too hot, but this must have been their age).
