How you all coping with the heat. Its no joke working in it. start of working round the house and in no time your knackered. Given the choice, i know where i would love to be right now. Achill Island. Of the west coast of Ireland. Back in the cottage we had before. surrounded by golden beaches, beautiful scenery, great food, and lovely people. You can keep the hot spots abroad. Its so lovely there. and theres beautiful Kylemore Abbey, and Westport House. and Cong were The Quiet Man was filmed. Want to be there right now. Oh, well back to the kitchen sink.

Oh, San I wish I was in Courtown Co Wexford right now. Or even just at home!

Sounds lovely, Sandy, would so like to be there right now and out of this hellishly hot spot. It sounds as if it's going to be even hotter tomorrow I'm not sure I can take much more of this intense heat. I loved The Quiet Man, have seen it umpteen times!

we were told last night we were to have the hottest day here and it is about 20* but it is sooo cloudy and overcast..no sun..it must be the hottest day coz it has melted the clouds and it is raining ...and...and and.....20miles up the raod there is a an american folk museum and they are being scorched with the heat...aaagghhhhhhh.....snot fair...boo hoo

Chads I've been to the American folk park its good. Have you ever been to The Ulster Folkpark near us. its brill. Its a three mile walk round it but its all the old cottages fully furnished, schools, rows of shops, everything, I love it. everything was dismanteled from its original place, the bricks or stones numbered and rebuilt here. Its a wonderful place we go once every year. The cottages have turf fires lit and people in old style clothes making potato bread and so on. Theres old banks the bank managers house. I just love the place. Theres even complete, very old little streets from Belfast, Tiny little houses.Amazing to see how people used to live. Makes your own home look like a mansion when you get back. Last time we were there, they had a complete replica of one of the coffin ships which took the immigrants away, no wonder most of them died.

Here in Kent it is still quite warm but gone quite cloudy. Had a couple of rumbles of thunder earlier, so thinking it would then rain got all the (dry) washing in. No rain as yet though. Looks very stormy out though
