Over the last few months my dyson has started to smell like summat has crawled in and died euuuu this only happens when i start to use it...now i have not cleaned it for a while...but surely that can't be the reason why it smells so bad can it?
Has anyone else had this problem if so how did they sort it?
do you have a heppa filter? it could be it needs replasing, thay say they are life time but they arnt always. you could try calling Dyson, the number is on the machine.
at the bottom of the cleaner there is a sponge type filter...remove it ans wash in warm soapy water and also clean the paper part with warm soapy water..rinse well and leavr on a radiator to dry...also wash out the cylinder and leave to dry........check all hoses too and if they are really dirty inside rinse them also....dont do this to any hoses still attached to the cleaner...also add some zoflora to the final rinse and it is a disanfectant with some lovely smells and every time you use your cleaner it will leave the room smelling lovely
I use those Vacuum air fresheners in my Dyson, just get an elastic band & tie it round the part of the machine that you fit the cylinder over. Might try the Zoflora though, that would smell nice.
