I love this site - so many knowledgeable people willing to share!

My latest kitchen disaster! I put some toast in my Microwave oven (its one of those that microwaves/grills and cooks convectionally too) and mistakenly selected 40 mins not 4 lol

After a while the toast was burning away merily and so I switched it off and opened a window.

Now the problem I have is that the burnt toast smell is still there in the kitchen and the microwave 10 days later.

managed to delete my own text lol . Was going on to say how can i rid the kitchen / oven of this foul smell???

Have you tried the usual lemon juice or scrubbing out with bicarb?

cut alemon up and put it in a jug of water

microwave on full power for 10 mins

worth a go
