I'm about to get some new cleaners, and have always been confused about something.
I want to get something that will kill bacteria... But most cleaners say something like "spray for 30 seconds to sanitize or wait 10 minutes to disenfect."
What's the diff?
I thought that to "sanitize", in the product maker's vocabulary, meant just to clean, whereas disinfect meant to actually kill germs.
According to the dic. to disinfect is to get rid of disease-causing bacteria by cleaning with a chemical while sanitizing is making clincially clean! Sounds pretty much the same thing to me!
