Mel Gibson. I saw him in that movie "Tim". He was so gorgeous in that movie. Those tight little shorts and that sexy body. I was at a rummage sale a couple months ago and found the DVD to Tim. It's nice to watch and relive Mel's youth. Big Grin Wink

It was George Best, so I hope he pulls through this time, though I have to say he does nothing for me anymore.

We lived opposite a cinema, or "picture house" as it was called then, so I went to see lots of films. Don't ever go to the cinema nowadays though! Frown

I was very keen on Billy Fury too. My favourite Beatle was George Harrison - the girls in my class at school when we were aged about 14 or 15 all had their favourite Beatle! Big Grin I also liked Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones. Pumpkin

My only "claim to fame" is that one of the Troggs went to the same school as me (but he left the year I started!).
Oh and during the 1960's a boyfriend hitch-hiked to where I live to see me (he lived some distance away), and on his way back home he got a lift with Spencer Davis of the Spencer Davis Group (not that anyone will have heard of him, although you might have done SAH!). Roll Eyes Big Grin

I went to see the Hollies during the 1990's - the lead singer was Allan Clarke...he was also the lead singer during the 1960's. I saw him being interviewed on TV just a few nights ago.

My first real crush was on Adam Ant but then moved on to Keanu Reeves and Neil Finn. Still waiting to bump into either of them and for them to realise they can no longer live their lives without me and take me away with them .......

I've also had a couple of snogs with famous people. Can't remember his name for the life of me now, but the good looking (arrogant) one out of The Professionals. Turned out not to be very nice at all. And Paul Usher who used to play Barry Grant in Brookie. He also played someone in The Bill but I've never watched it so don't know who.

I've got lots of good memories from the 60's too, it was the best of times! Big Grin
You were very brave to send an email to your ex-fiance! Eek I think people change so much over the years (in character as well as looks). I've seen some pictures on Friends Reunited of people I was at school with and they look so old! But I can usually just about see their younger face there as well! I don't think I would like any of them to see how I look now! On the other hand someone came up to me in Sainsbury's about a year ago and asked me if I was the sister of (my brother's name). I said I was and he said you look exactly the same as you used to - yet he hadn't seen me for at least 30 years as I moved away from the place where we both grew up when I was 26! I was amazed at that as I certainly wouldn't have recognised him!
By the way it's exactly 36 years ago today that I met Mr.J! Big Grin

He doesn't really remember November 1st as being the day we met, but he does (usually!) remember the date of our wedding anniversary which is in August. One year I forgot it was our wedding anniversary!!....we were on holiday camping in Germany and it wasn't until I looked at the car park ticket when we were out for the day that I noticed the date and thought "its our wedding anniversary!" Eek We were just on our way to look round a salt mine with our son so we spent most of the day down there, but did go out for a meal in the evening! Smile Big Grin
We don't bother to celebrate November 1st although I did say to Mr.J last night that we should have went out for a meal - he just looked surprised! Roll Eyes
