I've just bought a new house. However, the previous owners had been toilet training their dog in the kitchen, by the smell of it, a good few years of urine has soaked right into the floor.I've ripped up the vinyl tiles, but have found that the floor underneath still stinks even after I poured a bottle of neat bleach over it.Please, please can someone advise how to get rid of the smell of dog wee?? It's ruining my enjoyment of having my first home..
there was something the same on HCIYH repeats last week...they lifted the carpet and the felt underneath and replaced the felt then had thencarpet professionally cleaned...if the smell is comming from the floorboards and you cant get rid of it with bleach or chemicles you may have to think about replacing the floor boards...thats sounds OK if it is just a bit...but how much of the floor is involved.? I hope someone else has more helpful ideas paddyc
Do you mean white vinegar Magsmag? That's good stuff, or sprinkle bicarb on the floor, leave for as long as possible, at least overnight if possible, then hoover up.
