Last night on Kim and Aggie, they mentioned a way of keeping spiders out of your house. It was something about a damp cloth and citrusline?citrutine? Can anyone tell me what this is and where i might get it?
I'll do anything to keep spiders out of my house, I am terrified of them!
glad you asked this,i didn't get the correct saying of the word either,i don't like spiders either,i was thinking if it smelt okish i could just spray it on the walls in the bedroom, hopefully someone on here will know what is it.
Citronella oil mixed with some water in a spray bottle. Don't use it neat, it'll stain everything. Smells of lemon. If you use citronella candles in the summer, the midgets will keep away, too, when you're sitting in the garden or have the window open.
Leaning towards cleaning. Am the Queen of my own castle.
It's worth trying, be different if it was £50 notes that kept them out! Haven't seen many ants this year, although next door had a nest of them last year & some of them visited us too.
I have an essential oil blend that repels insects, 2 parts lemongrass oil to 1 part each of thyme, lavender and peppermint oils. It works really well, smells lovely and have used it camping, in the garden and in the house occasionally too.
We recently moved into a barn conversion, it's lovely but there are spiders everywhere! I don't mind them so much as the mess they leave behind them. I don't really want to apply anything over the walls to repel them, don't mind just evicting them and clearing up their cobwebs and hopefully they'll get the right idea.
What do people use to clear away cobwebs? I've just been using my regular duster (as in yellow cloth duster) but it does make it all yucky.
