My husband used double sided tape to secure a rug we had in our livingroom. It has just been taking up as I changed our colour scheme for the festive season but the residue/tape remnants wont budge from laminate floor. I tried mopping with water/bleach. Also a kleeneze product called sticky stuff remover with a ceramic hob scraper still didnt come off although came up a little better.HELP
You could try putting ice cubes on it till it goes brittle & can hopefully be scraped offthre flooring. That works for chewing gum anyway! Good luck - if you still have the pack that the tape came in you could ring the firm up & ask their advice
You could also try spraying it with Furniture Polish, something like Mr Sheen. Leave it on the mark for about 1/2 hourish, then use a scraper to remove excess liquid. It works on sticky back labels, so it may dissolve the tape adhesive. Good luck.

the other day Kim used something like WD-40 a lube spray and a putty knife. this was on hard wood floors. i am sure that would work. you might also try vegetable or cooking oil.
Yes WD40 is excellent at removing residue. Leave it to penitrate for a few mins then hey presto. Its also good for removing gum from carpets and has 1001 other uses.
