What is the best thing to use? The water is very hard where I live and normal bathroom cleaners won't touch it!

A mix of bicarb of soda and lemon, and half a dozen old toothbrushes and lots of elbow grease.

Leaning towards cleaning. Am the Queen of my own castle.

You can buy pens in B & Q that make the grout go white again

Try Oxi Clean- gets rid of mildew on shower curtains aswell if you leave it to soak in the bath then give it a rub. Follow the instructions on the box, can also be used in laundry- big tub costs around £2.00 & will last for a bit.

The best thing i have found is to mix bleach hot water and bi carb in a jug, use a sponge and cover the tiles and leave for an hour then rinse! Smells a bit but does the job!

I usually use a bleach spray and an old toothbrush. A bit time consuming but it seems to do the trick.

Thats exactly what i do Natnee. I usually dilute a couple of caps of bleach in a spray bottle, spray on, leave a minute or so then get scrubbing with the toothbrush. It's never failed me yet!

I bought some cillit bang hoping it would mean less elbow grease, wasnt half as good as good old bleach though!

Cillit Bang is useless, although some people like it, but bleach, bicarb, vinegar & soda crystals are cleaning essentials Big Grin

I've found it to be ok, on getting rid of limescale and water marks on the taps and draining board, although I wouldn't say it was as good as they make it out to be.

Hi, i'm new here and this is my first post. Fanatical cleaner, spend far too much time cleaning.

Thought i'd reply to this as I tried a few months ago to clean the grout in my bathroom. I find cotton buds soaked in a cheap bathroom spray cleaner worked wonders for me. But beware, you'll need alot of cotton buds if they're really dirty like mine (used to be)

Thanks for listening.
