I keep a fan in my room all year to keep out the noise. I live by a set of railroad tracks. Today I decided to clean my fan, and it was the worst thing I have ever clean. My grandma suggested I clean it in the bathtub with hot water and dish cleaner. It took me a good hour to clean both of the cage parts of the fan. It took me another half hour to clean were the controls are. I still didn't get all the dirt off, and to top it off, I had a bathtub to clean afterwards. Does anyone know a better way to do this?

Keep a sheet or somethhing to put over it when you're not using it? Or set aside a few minutes each week to give it a quick wipe over & hopefully it won't get too bad again.
