I usually use windowlene and the glass comes up without streaking. A bit of elbow grease is needed though.

windolene is the best commercial stuff you can buy. it's certainly the best for mirrors. for table tops and windows, you can use the good old fashioned neutral soap and water mix, splash it off with clear water and dry it off with the daily paper (not joking, works fabulously).
Leaning towards cleaning. Am the Queen of my own castle.

i use astonish glass cleaner ,its only a quid and you can pick it up from any poundshop

You also need a good cloth - I use one that feels like chammy but is synthetic. (?microfibre?)
