the sponge filter and holder are suposed to be cleaned twice a year (4 times a year in dusty conditions) on all dysons. The heper filter is supost to be changed every 12 months but some are now lifetime and dont need changing at all.

I've bought Dyson filters at pound shops, they don't stockthem very often though. Apart from that market stalls or electrical shops may have them or you can buy them direct from Dyson. Wink

I could have sworn sometime posted a link on here earlier, was I imagining it? I didn't get a chance to look at it, and it's gone.

Just been looking at the dyson site. I have learnt something else new - you can reverse the 'wand' i never knew it. Quite a good site, but one thing that amused me - the little demo 'cartoons' of how to attach the assesories (i did know how to do that btw!!) it was a man doing it!
Sorry to all you men out there who vaccumm, but i bet the majority are women. I bet it is so they don't come across as being sexist!!

Sorry cuckoo I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else for that matter. Maybe men have to show you (or me to be precise) how to use their vacuum properly. All this time I simply switch it on and roll it around on the floor, but it probably has 101 functions I don't know about!

I had a Dyson once and it was the worst hoover I have ever had. You cannot beat the little Henrys. They are absolutely fantastic.

Natnee.

You didnt offend me.

Our vax has brilliant sucktion but you cant beat a Dyson for constant suction, all others drop off as bags and filters clog.

Do any of you have an 03 model? We are considering that one as it is the lightest one they have, but are trying to confirm the length of hose for the stairs ie does it reach to the top of the stairs without movin the hoover from the bottom? Found one website that told you length of hose on all models except that one!!

Having tried lots of vacs (I`ve worked as a domestic cleaner), for ease of use, light weight, easy for doing stairs, get a Sebo.
They also came highly recommended by good house keeping magasine.I have had 2 dysons in the past, and I will never get another.
