Hi there can any one help me. I am a smoker. Although I only smoke in one room of my house, the Kitchen, this has taken its toll on my white goods. I’m just about to redecorate and the front of my Fridge Freezer is stained with Nicotine. Can anyone advise me how to remove the stains without damaging the façade of the freezer? I would appreciate any tips.
Have you tried Oxy-Plus stain remover? Or surgical spirit might be worth trying. If not something like nail polish remover or hair spray just might shift it. Good luck anyway.
Would something like jif not remove the stains ,if they are really bad what about cilitbang dont know if I have spelled it properly it might even be two words I have heard this is really good stuff it even removes water stains .
Try uaing a cream cleaner as Marguerita said, or soda crystals in water, but wear gloves if you try that! And you'll probably need lots of elbow grease too.......... Good luck. You could try bicarbonate of soda too, that cleans the inside of fridges but no idea how good it is at shifting nicotine stains.

The one thing that I have found will remove the tar and nicotine is TSP (TriSodiumPhosphate) you should be able to find it at any hardware store. The crystal version works better than the liquid. Be sure to wear gloves. It will clean it off in one try, but be sure to clean the surface with clear water after to avoid deglossing the surface.
Thanks for all the tips. Ive tried cilitbang, cif, nail polish remover, bicarb, oxy plus, vinegar and lemon and almost anything else I can think of and Im at the end of my tether. I think Ill try muttminders sugestion next, although Ive got to admit ive never heard of TSP, will get back to you with the results!.

if you whites are plastic coated try upvc window frame cleaner it works a treat
