Hi, new to this site and I'm sure you have heard this one before! but I would love to know of any tips for cleaning my bathroom tiles. They are a beige colour and have a rough surface so mopping and scrubbing does not get dirt off, so they are a lovely beidge coloured tile at the edge of the wall and a horrid brown colour aroung the loo and sink! any ideas apart from scrubbing would be helpful

They sound horrible. Chip them off and start again.

ok, well maybe I'm exaggerating slightly...you see they are newish tiles, about a year old, and it's just you can already see a well worn path to the toilet..to the sink..I wash then all the time but it's like the surface sucks up dirt!

Hmmm well it could be a seal problem. Or you have very dirty feet!

As you've probably gathered I have no idea. Sorry Smile

If you are talking about the grout then and old toothbrush and good old bleach does the job. Wink

.....and if it's the tiles (because they're so porous), get yourself down to the poundshop and get a few tubs of Oxy powder. Rather than diluting them in litres of water, mix them in water to a v runny paste. Use a wide brush and 'paint' over your tiles. Leave to work for an hour or so, then take off with a damp sponge. Do one or two tiles first to see whether you can see a difference before you do the whole floor, it's a mucky business.

If it is grout use Dettol
mould and mildew remover.

It really is good,approx £1.50

It's supposed to be good for limescale allegedly but never tried it.
