I tried posting on another thread about this but it appears everybody is ignoring me

This morning I dropped a big blob of deep red nail varnish on my carpet and then made it worse by rubbing at it with a piece of cotton wool and nail varnish remover. If anybody has got any advice on how to get out a big reddy-pink stain from a light coloured carpet without resorting to my insurance then I'd appreciate your help.

You could try hydrogen peroxide which should lighten the stain.

You could try applying nail varnish remover and then blot. Then mix a teaspoon of mild detergent in half a pint of lukewarm water. Apply the detergent mix and blot again. Sponge with clean water. Blot. Hope that helps.
