It's all my fault, about 2 weeks ago I got the bikes out of the shed, hoping to go for a ride every day after school to increase our fitness. The first day was a scorcher, but I had to take my lad to the dentist for urgent work that day after school. IThe following day it started raining, and hasn't stopped since. I'll go and put them back now shall I?
Aaach, it did, but the clouds are drawing over again. C'mon everybody, put your bikes and BBQ's away. Stow that BBQ food in the freezer, bring in your washing. Stop cleaning the car, decide against that walk in the park.... if we all work together maybe we can just get the sun shining again and get cuc-koo off to Skeg with a smile!
well our bikes have been in the shed for years and I forgot to put the BBQ away last year or clean ( dardent lift the lid incase the mold atacks me) so it's not that. I know what it is I got the air conditioner in ready for the hot weather
well I was thinking.....many hands make light work..as they say .....would many hands make the sun work? after all it is light.... ...every morning when we wake stretch our hands up to the sky!!!!! if that dont work at least our hands wil;l be up to hold the umbrellas
Aaaaah the perennial question of campers when it rains. Stay inside and go deaf or outside and get wet...... Mind it's quite nice here up North so there's hope for you

We used to play gin rummy (and other card games) when we used to go camping, sometimes sitting outside the trailer tent on warm summer evenings.
our neighbours had a trailer tent, really roomy but sutch a palarver to set it all up, and no heater or fridge or double glazzing or oven or reading lights. Iwill stick to a caravan Ive been spoilt now.
My sister's ex's mam had a caravan at Snowdon, we used to stay there for weeks at a time, it had no heating or electrics, we used candles, great days Think summer may be on it's way, we only had a few minutes of rain about 9.15pm, it was dull & windy all day but dry
Ahhh fond memories of running to the toilet/shower compound, sun rising, towel over the left shoulder, washing bag under the right arm, toothbrush and shower token in hand ....hobbling a bit because you've been crossing your legs since 05:00 a.am........

We had a couple of trailer tents over the years. The first one was a more difficult to put up, but the second one was really easy as you just flipped it up and over. That was great for touring and then when we wanted to stay longer anywhere we could add the awning and extension awning as well. It was very roomy and we did have a fridge, oven and heater, and plenty of lighting too - it was really quite luxurious!

That's just right SW...a very familiar sight on campsites! And in fact I may well have seen you if you were camping in Germany then, as we spent six camping holidays in Germany mainly during the early 1990's!
Ahhhhhhhh fond memories - you can laugh about it now but at the time trapsing through a field with your shower kit in the pouring rain was not funny and then when getting there it was a coldish shower
yes i remember trying to look dignafied fast walking to the loo expecting a wet patch in your trousers any second, and also when you first go camping wondering what every little noise is expecting a muten hedghog to eat it way into the tent
