Hello all, I'm new. I have a problem. On the table in my bedroom, and on most of the papers that were on it, I found tiny little white "things". They're some kind of bug because they're all moving!! What are they and how do I get rid of them? please help me. Thank you!
Hi, i'll be honest i am not sure what these can be. the closest thing i have came across like what you described were tiny beige bugs in my flour!. How tiny are they, are they just like moving little dots or can you actually see the bugs?
Hello! Yeah I've had the flour bugs too! Little beige/grey critters. But no, these are different. They look like very very small white dots. Specks really. Just the usual crap that makes up dust. But then you reallise they're moving. Some of the bigger ones look more like bugs, with legs but that's only when you really focus. And there's a lot of them.
get some nippon bug spray and spray the area, if the bigger ones look like they have legs ,then the only thing i can think of is that they are eggs of some kind
Alright thanks guys, I'll see what I can do. If anyone else does have any suggestions on how to get rid of them, or can tell me what they are, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Yuk indeed! I hate my house. It's so old and crappy. My bedroom used to be the bathroom, there were always bugs in there. *shudder* I'll have to use some kind of spray. Right now I've just been wiping them away, I'm just afraid they'll come back!
I'll probably get some more spray from the corner shop or ASDA, hehe, no one from either of those places will be able to recognise them. Does it have to be nippon? I was gonna get some more raid- the red one.?
Well I've been wiping and Raiding, and I've not seen any of the wee buggers in a while, so hopefully they're gone. Mind you I've not been doing the most thorough of checks . I'll start complaining again if they come back. Thanks all!
Happy New Year azure girl. Hope you have got rid of these critters - I had these once. They were in my room and were all over my books/records/cds and even on my clothes! I sprayed everywhere with Deathlac and wiped it over all cd cases etc. They did go but have been paranoid ever since that they would come back! I never did work out where they came from or what they were - some kind of mite I think. Best thing is to make sure everything is kept dry and your room is well ventilated as most insects love moisture. I have recently noticed some psocids under my shower tray and they have freaked me out big-time! However a good spray with deathlac seems to have stopped them for now. This is a great spray as it dries as a clear lacquer and lasts for ages. Good luck! Let me know how you are getting on.
Azure girl, I have the same bug problem! Its been driving me insane! my boyfriend says he cant see them and dosnt care if there are bugs in our house! Iv come to the conclusion that the moving white specks are babys or eggs of the beige flour/book mite things. I found them on the internet and it said they eat mould so i got a dehumidifier and sprayed raid everywhere and they have almost gone. I still see them in my chest of draws though. I used to see little white specks moveing on a black top if i look very very closely. I dont keep my clothes in there any more but my boyfriends are coz he dosnt care. I also used to see the bigger book mite things on the skirting board in the bath room but since we put lino down and painted the walls with silk paint i havnt seen any in there. let me know if you have found a way of getting rid of them for good.
I can't be sure for certain; though at a much younger age I dealt with the same sort of insects.. eh.. in my hair. (i wasn't a very clean child.. but now i shower twice a day) At the time they were associated with Lice; though I'm sure they're simply like most other bugs in the house. Hungery for sugary goodness to feed their colony, and become more of a nuissance. More investigation would be recommended, but, you could always clean up everywhere near them, and then find out where they're coming from. Perhaps from another room, or something under the floor, or even outside. Wish I could be more useful. I'll wager they live in warm humid places though.
Awoooo!
