I've just bought a fabulous 2nd hand leather suite - BUT - it smells of fags!! How can I get rid of the smell? All info appreciated

Not too sure if it'll work on Leather, but Bicarbonate of soda removes nasty niffs on lots of Fabrics and Carpets etc. Just sprinkle it on, leave overnight and hoover it off. Give it a try and let us know if it works. Best of luck.

Thanks Pauls. I'm definitely going to get some bicarb, but in the meantime I have bought cat-litter deodoriser and used that in the same way. I poured it down the sides of the cushions (which are non-detachable) and hoovered it up next day (a bit like shake n' vac! Hey! I'll try that too!) and the smell has definitely diminished. I did it again last night and will hoover it off later.
